Lactation and Newborn Feeding Support

Mariah Alyce offers Breastfeeding Education and Support (including Prenatal Breastfeeding Education), support for Alternative Methods of Feeding (including eclusively pumping and bottle feeding), Non-gestational Breastfeeding Support, ️Babywearing Education, ️Tummy-time Education, ️and Group Support. Mariah Alyce’s support offers comprehensive education and support in a caring, non-judgmental, factual manner, allowing client to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare.

In-home and virtual lactation consultations are now available. Flange fitting and weighted fittings included with consultations.

 

Placenta Encapsulation $350

Placenta encapsulation is a process where a whole placenta is transformed into pills that can be taken postpartum. This service includes pickup/drop-off of placentas and your finalized products!

Services booked after 38 weeks, will incur an additional $100 booking fee. There are no refunds. However, in the event, your placenta is unavailable to you (i.e. sent to Pathology and not released) or if your placenta has been contaminated with a bacterial infection, Mariah Alyce will offer 4 postpartum doula hours, including lactation support, in lieu of encapsulation.

 

Postpartum Doula Support $1000

Postpartum Doula Support renders SIX 4-Hour sessions to provide assistance with postpartum healing and extra support during the transitional stage of introducing a newborn into the family. These sessions include but are not limited to:

  • Light household duties

  • Light errands

  • Assistance with nursery prep and organization

  • Assistance with cloth diaper prep/laundering

  • Newborn Support

  • Introduction to Baby-wearing

  • Debriefing birth story

  • Emotional support and screening for Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders
